38 week appointment was this afternoon.
First was a sono. When I asked Erin why Dr H asked for a sono (not that I was complaining), she said plainly, "because of your age". : )
Baby boy is head down and facing backwards - man, that was GOOOOOD news.
He was 7lbs even according to their calculations.
Evidently he was scored on 4 different measurements, 2 points each. He got an 8 of 8, so I'd say he's looking pretty darn perfect in there. It was cool to watch him sucking his hands, and seemingly so happy in there.
Next, Dr H checked me.
I told him about feeling weird the other night. At the time I had no idea what it was, but the next day believed that the baby moved down a little that night.
I was hoping I wasn't wrong.
Last week a -3 station, today a -1. Yep, he moved alright. Otherwise, I'm about 50% effaced and just a fingertip dialated. Progress of any kind is great.
Mostly, I'm excited that his face is facing backward and he's engaged at a -1. All the other signs are awesome too. Dr H said everything looks so good and he's really optimistic about the VBAC. I'm excited about the possibility of that too.
But most importantly, I'm thankful for another day. Thank you, Lord.
