Positive

In all the relief about Monday, I failed to mention one not so positive note.

I am in fact positive with Group B Strep.
The internet can be a scary thing when you research stuff like this. But, the Center for Disease Control and Prevention wrote it well: http://www.cdc.gov/GroupBstrep/general/gen_public_faq.htm

So, the good news is:
- I'm considered full term
- I will get antibiotics for it via IV when I get to the hospital
- We found out now
- The chances are low that the baby will get anything

I'll pray for protection for this little guy, and ask that you pray with me.
Again, I can worry, but there is nothing I can do. There is, however, a lot God can do. And Dr H keeps reminding me that God clearly has some plan for this little miracle and this little baby. <3

Thank you, Lord, for another day.

You probably don't remember but I was GBS+ as well. But, since I was at a 10 when I arrived, I did not get any IV antibiotic. The result was that we took Caroline's blood and had her tested. I know you remember that part. So, don't stress. Whether you get the antibiotics in labor or you test the little guy and he gets them later, it will all be OK.

I am so excited for you Sundee and can't wait to see pictures of your little guy!
About the GBS, while I am sure the internet can scare you like crazy, don't lose sleep over this issue. Ulitmatly, you and this sweet boy are in God's hands and this is a VERY common thing that is treated very well with antibiotics. As long as you recieve 2 doses of anitbiotics prior to delivery, they usually don't even draw the babies blood to check for anything. I will be praying for you guys and the logistics of going into labor, getting Reece taken care of and getting to the hospital. It's all very overwhelming when you are big and pregnant. Good luck with the VBAC! I really hope you are successful. I wanted one so badly, but Hollan was breech just like her sister. Does little man have a name yet???
