Full term

37 weeks along, with 19 days, just 3 weeks to go.

Congratulations — your baby is full term! This means that if your baby arrives now, his lungs should be fully mature and ready to adjust to life outside the womb, even though your due date is still three weeks away.

Your baby weighs 6 1/3 pounds and measures a bit over 19 inches, head to heel (like a stalk of Swiss chard). Many babies have a full head of hair at birth, with locks from 1/2 inch to 1 1/2 inches long. But don't be surprised if your baby's hair isn't the same color as yours. Dark-haired couples are sometimes thrown for a loop when their children come out as blonds or redheads, and fair-haired couples have been surprised by Elvis look-alikes. And then, of course, some babies sport only peach fuzz.

Definitely have to call you Elvis this week. After your sono on Monday, we have confirmed two things: You have hair, and are a hunka, hunka burning love.

It's been a stressful time for momma lately. A ton of things are happening at the house, which I am sooo thankful for and so excited about. Next week Reece and I will pretty much be stuck in the house all week, in a confined space, with loud noises, and likely a decent amount of dust. (If the dust is too much, we'll certainly make other arrangements.)

I hope amidst it all, I enjoy that little bit of extra time with my guy. Maybe he'll help me get my bag ready for the hospital, and we can snuggle and watch some movies together. <3

I'm looking forward to the doctor appointment on Monday morning. Although, I have this feeling that he will not be head down. He's just been moving so much, all OVER the place. Chances are that at any given moment, he could be in any position. That may likely spark some more discussions...we'll see.

And if we get through Monday and on schedule w/ house stuff, I think we'll have a good sense for how the rest of the week will go. I will be calling on people for reinforcements, and feel free to check in too.

Seems like a weird mix of a post, but it just is how it is right now.
I am thankful that things are falling into place to get done before this sweet boy comes. And if not, who cares! I'll instead have a full term, beautiful baby boy in my arms.

Thank you, Lord, for another day.
