26 weeks.
The network of nerves in your baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. He may now be able to hear both your voice and your partner's as you chat with each other. He's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of his lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when he's born and takes that first gulp of air. And he's continuing to put on baby fat. He now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches (an English hothouse cucumber) from head to heel. His testicles are beginning to descend into his scrotum — a trip that will take two to three days.
If you're anything like your dad, little guy, you're cool as a cucumber. In the spirit of your disco momma, I'll call you Robert Bell, also known as "Kool" from Kool & the Gang.
Pretty crazy stuff going on in that little body of yours...impt man stuff.
Reece has been talking to you more, and he's excited about teaching you to play baseball. Your movements have changed from me feeling a kick on one side, to feeling your moves left, right, and down all at the same time. Guess we've both grown this week. : ) Pretty Kool stuff.
Thank you, Lord, for another day.

I LOVE tracking along with your pregnancy...it brings back such memories of this time last year, since your due date is almost exactly the same as mine was.
We were about to pack up and leave Texas, Ellis and Devra behind:( and start our brand new California adventure.
Hard to believe it's been a year already, and my sweet baby has been out of me for almost as long as she was in me:) She'll be 40 weeks old on Friday...crazy!
